DMAL is licensed for over 225 beds between the facilities. Pacific Grove community is licensed for 55 residents including six memory care and eight hospice residents. The facility has been in the community for over six decades and is one of the highest-rated faculties in the region.

The role of the Executive Director is to accelerate the profitable growth of the community by empowering our community's teams with increased autonomy and accountability. We expect to make faster and smarter decisions, along with continual census growth, and successful execution of growth strategies. The role of the Executive Director is to improve the effectiveness of the team members/department heads by emphasizing DMAL’s core values and creating a winning team. The Executive Director, in collaboration with the CEO, President, Sales, and other Regional Leaders will oversee the overall compliance, growth, and profitability for the community.

Responsibilities:

· Oversees all departments, maintaining full responsibility for efficient operations and compliance with the goals

· Responsible for the operation and management of the community in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Owners and federal/state/local laws and regulations.

· Familiarity with all DSS regulations and Title 22 requirements, ensure compliance

· Interview, hire, orient, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and department heads

· Comply with all aspects of operations (including personnel practices) in accordance with DMAL's policies and applicable regulations.

· Develops a thorough working knowledge of state regulations, policies and procedures dictated for residents; ensures compliance.

· Ensures all resident administrative files are well maintained, current and in compliance with state regulations.

· Functional knowledge of all operating programs including memory care, clinical, dietieary and social programs.

· Provide on-call and overnight coverage as specified by schedule or as needed.

· Able to work in various positions in the community and willing to fill in as needed. Must be willing and able to always roll up the sleeves

· Build a high performing team and maintain high morale.

· Maintain a safe working and living environment.

· Assist with scheduled marketing and sales activities or resident activities, resulting in increased census.

· Conduct monthly resident and staff meetings to improve effective and regular communication.

· Build relationships with family members and other community partners

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

· A Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related subject is preferred.

· Active License to operate as an Administrator for an RCFE within California

· Successful work history of long-term care or related fields.

· Three (3) - five (5) years of experience in operations management with demonstrated success in meeting financial goals specific to retirement living, assisted living, long term care or related fields such as skilled Nursing.

· Demonstrated success in operating and maintaining a quality customer service workforce.

· Experience in successfully recruiting and training others.

· Understanding of facilities management and ensuring systems are maintained properly.

· Solid performance management skills, including the ability to communicate performance expectations, document performance conversations, coach and address performance issues, and complete performance management expectations as guided by the company.

· Proficient knowledge of computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office.

· Position may require some driving responsibilities (may use company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).

· Must possess a valid driver's license.

· Preferred residency near Monterey Bay.
