Research and Engineering Development, LLC is seeking a full-time Accountant. Desired candidates should possess a degree in accounting with 2-3 years of accounting experience in government contracting and be comfortable with the following: Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Month End Close.

Responsibilities:

· Process Timesheets, review and post labor distribution and submit payroll. Responsible for reconciliation of all payroll accounts including benefits and payroll taxes.

· Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.

· Manage accounts payable and perform reconciliations.

· Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to financial guidelines.

· Assist with Audits as required.

· Assist Accounting Manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.

· Assist with other accounting projects including incurred cost submissions.

Qualifications:

· 2+ years or equivalent experience in accounting

· Exceptional organization skills and strong attention to detail

· Understanding accounting and financial reporting principles and practices to include working knowledge of cost-plus contracts.

· Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software

· Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and T&E, WAWF and Cognos preferred.

· Degree desired
