What You Will Do:

• Responsible for end-to-end Accounts Receivable process on rebates earned and applying payments
• Research complex exceptions in aging balances
• Determines and corrects end to end accounting impacts, identifying, and resolving root cause issues with the vendor, Procurement, Accounting and Sales teams
• Identifies and implements process improvements, efficiencies in payment application and issue resolution
• Ensures necessary corrections are made on contract setup and with the vendors as necessary independently
• Serves as a key resource for A/R reporting, invoices, collections, accounting impacts, and interaction with vendors on all programs/income classes. This role will be a key resource to other internal departments within all areas of expertise
• Ensures accuracy of payment application, exception research and processing, initiating necessary corrections on the agreements
• Responsible for implementing long term solutions to correct problems through process change and root cause solutions
• Resolves exceptions efficiently and thoroughly to prevent repeat exceptions from occurring
• Understands full end to end accounting impacts for the end-to-end process.
• Follows process related to processing necessary income adjustments to GL, interacting with the vendor on discrepancies, clearing all outstanding receivables in AR, AP, and collect on open balances with appropriate vendors.

What You Need:

• High School degree or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Three years of A/R & Accounting experience required.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable including full Accounting responsibilities, Receivable management, GL Account Reconciliation, Extensive Vendor Interaction, journal entries, applying and clearing complex accounts receivable payments, month end close activities.
• Food Distribution industry knowledge preferred.
• Highly motivated, self-starter and can execute department and company initiatives and goals.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
• Strong communication skills (via phone, email, and in-person).
