Job Description :

Locally owned independent auto dealership looking for an experienced accounting office manager. This is a hands-on accounting position where you will be posting day-to-day transactions.

This position is perfect for the individual who is a team player, loves learning and improving processes to maximum levels of efficiency. As an office manager you are the heart of the organization helping keep everyone on track and organized while ensuring the accounting work is completed accurately and timely. Training and support will be provided to assist with the learning curve of this organization.

You MUST have experience in a similar role or transferable accounting skills!

Job Responsibilities to Include:

  • Oversee the accounting department for the dealership.
  • Processing and paying accounts payable.
  • Processing all sales transactions
  • Reconciling all general ledger accounts monthly.
  • Production of an accurate and timely financial statement
  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for owners.
  • File all government-required forms in a timely manner (not corporate taxes)
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree - Accounting Major or extensive prior experience in a similar role
  • Must have a strong grasp of information technology.
  • Must have strong Microsoft excel skills
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability and team management in prior roles
  • Must have interpersonal skills and possess excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills.

Compensation is based on skills and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,000.00 - $112,000.00 per year

Physical setting:

  • Office

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Springfield, IL 62703: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • GAAP: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CPA (Preferred)
