NVIC is seeking an Accounting Specialist responsible for A/P and A/R, fixed asset tracking, assisting with month end and year end closings, accounting ERP systems, US GAAP and IFRS compliance, and various financial reports. This position has high mobility for promotion to a leadership/management position within the Accounting department. The ideal candidate will display leadership competencies to grow into this position in the future.

Responsibilities for the Accounting Specialist include:

• Match purchase orders, receivers, and invoices. Issue sales invoices and credits.
• Preparation of weekly payments, reviewing registers to ensure accuracy before posting, and reviewing accounts receivable data by the customers.
• Assist with month end and year end audits, cost calculations, inventory controls, and supporting financial analyses
• Review and process new asset acquisitions and asset disposal, prepare depreciations in the fixed asset system
• Generating financial reports when requested, cross training for all Accounting functions, assisting with cycle counts and audits of inventory items

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree is required as well as 3-5 years practical experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting
• Ability to use Windows based software, primarily Word and Excel
• Good communication skills, detail oriented, and skilled at data entry
• Ability to work independently
