Intrex Aerospace is a precision aerospace manufacturing company. We produce tight tolerance machined components for aerospace, defense and space. As an AS9100 certified company our focus is quality. Our team is continually working to improve our Company and operations!

We are located in Thornton, CO just east of I-25 and across the street from the RTD light rail. We have a large, CLEAN shop with spacious offices and place great pride in our work environment and culture.

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our Team! The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and have the ability to work effectively in a continually changing environment. We value a team-oriented approach and need a candidate who possesses strong leadership and communication skills.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics detailing financial results
  • Design of reports and metrics with a focus on automation and business intelligence
  • Gathering and processing large data sets
  • Assist with development of complex financial models
  • Process improvement initiatives and special projects
  • Support payroll processing
  • Perform inventory analysis
  • General finance and accounting functions
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
  • Review, balance, and interpret reports; reconcile discrepancies and problems
  • Assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services
  • Assist with 401K processing and benefit reconciliations
  • Coordinate schedules, activities and reports with other departments
  • Assisting with financial planning and budgeting
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of a business need, define the project goals and charter, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Three to five years’ progressive experience; accounting, finance, business, economics, mathematics or similar field experience required
  • Supervisory experience preferred

Required Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Experience with forecasting and modeling
  • Good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide positive leadership to a diverse workforce
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Good problem-solving skills and effective decision-making abilities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must be able to analyze and present data
  • Ability to foster positive working relationships with vendors and co-workers
  • Ability to manage multiple demands in a professional manner

Work Schedule, Environment and Physical Demands

  • Work schedule is 4-10s, Monday-Thursday, preferred hours are 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Extended hours may be required based on workload
  • Most of the work will be conducted in a traditional office environment. However, there may be limited interactions on the production floor around large machinery.
  • All work is completed on computers or other electronic equipment with extended periods of sitting. The employee must have constant free mobility of hands, wrists and arms.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual Salary: $75,000 to $90,000
