Job Description :

NCCYou is seeking an Accounting Technician to join our team! Our Accounting Technician will maintain reliable accounting information and reporting on income, expenses, assets, liabilities and capital for management planning, decision making, and for fulfilment of financial reporting requirements. Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure that reports, accounts, systems, policies and practices adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). While this is an entry-level Accounting position, there is opportunity for growth and development within the department. Come join our team today!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting functions of posting, reconciling and auditing of general ledger accounts.
  • Daily settlement of journal entries and processing of supporting reports.
  • Process vendor invoices within the Accounts Payable platform and process payments.
  • Process Incoming and Outgoing wires.
  • Maintain working knowledge of various accounting software programs.
  • Perform any activity to assist the department in maintaining and reporting special accounting studies, analyses and special projects.
  • In the absence of the Accounting Specialist, perform any job duties that are required.
  • Help ensure that all activities of the department are in accordance with GAAP and that the accounting records are maintained accurately and in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Credit Union teammates and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related accounting/bookkeeping experience or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
