Overview

The Administrative Assistant based in our Norwell, MA location is responsible for providing administrative support in an office / facility environment requiring a through knowledge of Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Assemble and analyze information, prepare reports, manuals, agenda's and correspondence.
  • Sets-up, organizes and maintains the office filing system including confidential data.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable and General Ledger Systems.
  • Responsible for initiating and coordinating the administrative functions required.
  • Maintain business license calendar and assist with all U. S. business licenses.
  • General support of 20 persons tax department.
  • Voucher check requests from tax department.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office (i. e., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) in the creation of letters, memos, and labels.
  • Interface with a variety of people on issues both routine and complex.
  • Maintain necessary office supplies and ensure various office equipment is properly configured, installed, and maintained.
  • Screens mail and telephone calls, directs request to appropriate individuals and follows-up on replies.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • High School diploma with specialized training or equivalent required.
  • 2 - 3 years of administrative experience required.
  • Strong typing skills.
  • Working knowledge of office machines (calculators, copiers, fax machines, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i. e., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Requires near sitting, acuity, speaking and listening.
  • Requires standing, walking, stooping, and crouching.
  • Requires grasping and reaching.
