Job purpose

The Cashier position plays a critical role in the customer experience at Applejack Wine & Spirits. We pride ourselves on providing fast, friendly, and accurate customer service. Cashiers process transactions and answer customer questions to ensure our customers leave feeling valued.

Duties and responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting every customer and assisting with the selection of products.
• Process transactions in efficiently and effectively
• Verify customer identification documents and adhere to all policies around serving minors.
• Balance a cash register drawer requiring the handling of cash, checks, credit cards and gift cards.
• Adhere to all safety and cleanliness policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service.

• Accommodate a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Lift and carry 40-60lbs.

• Be on your feet for extended periods.

• Process financial transactions and handle cash.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Work well within a team atmosphere.

• Must be 21 or older
