Job Description :

Camp Walden is looking for a retired police officer or armed guard that enjoys the Adirondacks Mountains of NYS and would like to live for the summer at Camp Walden NY (www.campwalden-ny.com) located in Diamond Point, NY. The job requirements is to lead or report to a head of Security (Retired - Armed) and join a group of three unarmed security men for 24 x 7 coverage. A strong candidate should have security or police experience and be registered to carry a gun and preferably be licensed as an armed security guard.

Room and Board is included. The job includes Camp Tuition assistance for camp age children (8 - 16 years old) upon availability.

AN IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT IS TO BE EMPLOYED BY A SCHOOL FOR 10 MONTHS OF THE YEAR THEREBY BEING AVAILABLE TO WORK AT CAMP WALDEN DURING THE SUMMER.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $1,500.00 - $1,700.00 per week

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to test for covid just before and after arrival and be fully vaccinated and boosted according to CDC guidelines.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • United States: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • law enforcement: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Police: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • license to cary a gun in New York State. Drivers License. (Required)
