Summary of key responsibilities:

We are looking for experience with accounting that can assist in the day to day financial and reporting responsibilities of the controller, specifically:

Support the routine functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Support project tracking and job cost accounting.

Assist the Controller with month-end close, financial reports, and WIP schedules.

Assist the Controller with audits and preparation of local tax returns

Assist the Controller with Union reports

Assist with employee paperwork and filing

Skills and experience:

· Preferred BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

· Experience in public and/or construction accounting a plus

· Ability to work without direct supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative

· Organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and strong ability to multi-task

· Ability to communicate well and frequently (orally and in writing)

· Strong creative and critical thinking skills, the ability to exercise sound judgment, and demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

· Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality

· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
