**Located in Saratoga, WY**

Position Overview:

The Assistant Director of Finance position is a key leadership role within the Brush Creek Ranch Collection supporting the day-to-day operation of the Accounting Department and responsible for accurate reporting of month-end financial statements while implementing strategic operational internal control processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepares, reviews and balances Daily Sales Reporting to ensure accurate balancing of daily sales.
  • Maintains a strong internal control environment which safeguards assets, improves profitability and manages business risks.
  • Tracks and responds to credit card chargebacks
  • Performs month end wage transfers for Task Force roles and cross functional associates
  • Configures journal entries for internal department Food and Beverage transfers and sales from Agriculture, Greenhouse and Goat Operations
  • Issues daily and weekly OT reports during peak seasons to ensure labor management control.
  • Assists with training and on-boarding new operational department leaders on all Accounting functions and systems
  • Collaborates with Night Audit to understand balancing issues and ensuring tickets are loaded to the Night Audit folder
  • Responsible for month end reclasses and accruals submitted by department leaders
  • Assists with Ad Hoc reporting and analysis requests
  • Ensure Sales tax is reconciled and assists with outstanding bank reconciliation items
  • Designs and implements policies and procedures in conjunction with Accounting and Operations Teams to ensure strong internal control processes
  • Work with Corporate Accounting Team to ensure accurate accounting for WY liquor division invoicing and issue resolution
  • Attends weekly credit meeting to understand and resolve processes challenges associated with collection
  • Clears all house account charges from the ledger monthly and resolves transactions in do not use accounts
  • Reviews GL detail to ensure accruals are performed accurately and resolved monthly
  • In conjunction with DOF, ensures proper configuration of monthly checkbook templates
  • Other Duties as assigned

Skills and Position Requirements

  • Must be detail oriented and a good communicator
  • Good knowledge of Hotel or Resort operations
  • Ability to work independently, evenings or weekends.
  • Physical mobility and stamina is required (must be able to lift 50lbs)
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Team Player that accepts change management
  • Effective analytic, decision making and presentation skills
  • Intermediate ability to understands property management lodging systems and software platforms
  • Firm understanding of GAAP and/or USALI accounting
  • Ability to troubleshoot transactional and technology related challenges

Education and Experience

  • 4 Year College Degree with Accounting or Finance designation
  • 2 years experience in Hotel or Resort accounting preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:
