The assistant propagator works with Senior Grower to reassure daily care and crop culture for a variety of liners and/or pots. The assistant propagator is responsible for the proper care of the greenhouses, including the plant cultivation, propagation, scouting and plant protection

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn and identify irrigation and nutritional needs of various crops daily
• Manage environment in greenhouses
• Monitor plant growth and root development daily
• Evaluate plant health daily and report any disease or insect problem
• Perform water soluble fertilizer applications thru fertigation as needed
• Apply rooting hormone as needed
• Apply fungicides and insecticides as needed
• Distribution of beneficial insects when needed
• Monitor and replace sticky cards as needed
• Maintain clean and organized work environment
• Wash and disinfect tarps and sprinklers after each turn

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Work in a fast-paced changing environment
• Flexible work schedule to include some weekends

• Ability to interact with propagation crew and reassure top quality production (from harvesting to sticking)
• Suggest, observe and/or embrace propagation processes and techniques in order to improve efficiencies
