ALLO is looking for an Assistant Product Manager to assist with ALLO’s product development cycles. This person will be part of the ALLO Product Development Team and will help plan, test, coordinate, implement, and communicate the status of projects while proactively facilitating improvements to processes and enhancing the customer experience. This position will work with all departments of ALLO to build effective productization teams, test new hardware/software, and improve processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with project teams to document product and/or project requirements to be used by the product development team to develop new features for our existing products and to create new products
- Work with key stakeholders from internal Marketing, Operations, Inside Sales, Field Services and other internal ALLO business units to satisfy project requirements
- Create acceptance criteria for new product/project features
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and facilitate the project charter
- Align product development with business goals
- Coordinate meetings and additional details
- Partner with the Project Manager to provide stakeholders accurate timeline for delivery
- Work with stakeholders to define KPI’s and statistics needed for website and marketing analysis and success
- Monitor the market and develop competitive analyses
- Prioritize product features and capabilities
- Setting the project up for success by defining the project design plan, alongside the Products Manager and Project Managers
- Ensure steps are followed
- Maintain consistency
- Schedule and facilitate meetings
- Keep meetings productive
- Ensure proper task prioritization
- Decision and change request tracking and documentation
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in product management, business, marketing, or project management
EXPERIENCE:
- Two years’ experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Service Request Manager, or equivalent
- 2+ years of fiber ISP industry experience
- Previous experience in the fiber MSO overbuilder space preferred
- previous educational sector experience preferred.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Strong experience working as a product developer in a non-managerial role
- Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
- Highly effective cross-functional team management
- Experience managing product lifecycle
- Self-starter who regularly demonstrates creativity and the ability to generate new ideas
- Exceptional writing and editing combined with effective presentation and public speaking skills
- Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Experience with various computer software applications in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Ekahau, Tamograph, Hamina, Calix Cloud, or NiSC software
