General Summary:

Working under the leadership and mentorship of the Area Manager or Project Manager, the Project Engineer (aka Asst Project Manager) is responsible for identified aspects of the project life cycle including coordination of activities such as project budget, schedule, purchasing, submittals, invoicing, and post-construction activities. Project management responsibility includes identified aspects of larger scale projects and overall management of smaller scale project life cycles from pre-construction through execution and post construction activities.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 1 – 4 years project management or project support experience in the construction industry
• 1 year of construction trade experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Project engineer or project management
• Ability or eventual ability to generate and modify cost loaded progress schedules
• Knowledge or eventual knowledge of job costing/budgeting/invoicing
• Ability or eventual ability to accurately interpret contracts
• Ability or eventual ability to interpret all trades specifications and plans
• Construction process knowledge
