Höganäs in North America is seeking an Automation Engineer for its production facility located in Hollsopple, PA.

About the position

The Automation Engineer is responsible for using cutting edge technology to improve and automate the manufacturing process. In addition, the Automation Engineer will create detailed road maps to guide automation projects from conception to final implementation.

Your profile

The successful candidate should possess a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. In addition, the successful candidate should have familiarity with process controls, problem solving, project implementation, and continuous improvement projects; experience with robotics, AI and machine learning; automation programming experience, preferability ABB 800xa DCS, Allen Bradley PLC’s or strong equivalent; VFD experience, ABB preferred or strong equivalent; experience with the design and implementation of automated systems; and, a solid understanding of computer and software development.
