Job Title: Senior Deposit Operations Officer – Hutchinson, KS
Plains State Bank is seeking a Senior Operations Officer to join our team! As we grow, we are looking for bright experienced individuals to join our team. This position would be responsible for management of the deposit operation functions of the Bank. Design and implement systems to create efficiency and promote operational support which help the bank to deliver exceptional customer service. Directs, trains, and holds deposit staff accountable for safe and sound bank operations.
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Responsible for management and oversight of all data processing, deposit functions, and vender issues.
2. Responsible for the day-to-day operations and system needs in the Operations Department including New Accounts, Teller, Bookkeeping, Mobile Banking, Online Banking, Debit Card Processing, ATM’s, ACH Origination, Cash Management, Remote Deposit Capture, Item Processing, reconciling, balancing and customer service.
3. Responsible for management, implementation and execution of new products, equipment, and services in the Operations Department.
4. Responsible for all data processing functions, data processing security and year-end processing.
5. Manage the core processing system, Jack Henry SilverLake, and all ancillary products. Responsible for parameter set up, review, changes and ongoing maintenance.
6. Exercises strong and effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills with all levels of personnel.
7. Mentors, supports and develops current staff to succeed and fully understand operations. Directs, trains, and holds staff accountable for safe and sound bank operations. Experience managing multiple staff personalities and skill sets along with supervision of other staff members in offsite branch locations.
8. Experience leading the operations department in core conversions through merger & acquisitions; mapping, test week, core cutover, post balancing and troubleshooting.
9. Implement and maintain detailed procedures of deposit operations functions to provide consistency and standardized processes bank wide. Ensures the staff is notified and trained to comply with the procedures on an ongoing basis.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred and at least five years previous banking deposit operations experience.
