Herrington on the Bay is looking for a Bar Manager/Mixologist with creative flair and a passion for beverages, innovative with cocktails and able to execute smooth and flawless bar operations, while ensuring fresh, on-trend and seasonally accurate drinks for our guests. We are looking for an ambitious and hardworking Mixologist to join our team. In this position, you will take the lead in ensuring the best possible guest experience through beautiful cocktails with pizzazz at our luxury, all-inclusive, waterfront wedding venue located on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.

Herrington on the Bay is host to over 160 weddings, social and corporate events annually. The Bar Manager/Mixologist has a very important role at Herrington on the Bay and is responsible for designing beverages, beverage packages, sourcing, ordering, and inventory of bar items and cocktails for events. The position will also involve performing beverage tastings with clients, sourcing vendors, ordering, and tracking orders, as well as participating in recruiting, hiring, leading, and training of bar staff at all levels of service.

This position requires someone that can:

• Execute smooth and flawless bar operations
• Work with clients to develop their signature drink for their special day
• Plan, forecast, and execute various beverage orders
• Batch bulk cocktails on a weekly basis
• Process customer request and complaints patiently
• Plan exact and alternative recipes for customers
• Complete in-house inventory monthly and place weekly orders as needed
• Help create and work within beverage budgets
• Create event pull/par sheets
• Track, stock, and FIFO beverage shipments
• Communicate and build strong relationships with vendors
• Adhere to health and safety standards
• Plan, hire, train, oversee, and manage the bar staff
• Treat every visitor as their personal guest

The Bar Manager/Mixologist is expected to be available and willing to work most weekends and holidays during our high season and as needed. This ensures successful bar and beverage services. We also expect you to be a team player and be able to pick up other responsibilities as needed.

Must be able to stand and exert fast-pace mobility for periods of 4+ hours in length, bend, lift, and stoop. Lifting of 30 lbs required, up to 50lbs on occasion.

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
