Biotrial, a leading contract research organization (CRO) and experienced full- service provider of high-quality pharmacology services, is currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to help grow all Biotrial early phase clinical trial management services in North America. This position reports to the Vice President, Global Business Development.

The Business Development Manager will represent and promote Biotrial to maintain and develop long-term business collaborations by meeting customers, sharing Biotrial’s platform, capabilities and building relationships between Biotrial and pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. The successful candidate will have CRO experience, scientific/medical background, and a good understanding of the drug development process.

Responsibilities:

· Actively prospect new clients in collaboration with Inside Sales people.

· Conduct in-depth research to identify targets and generate new opportunities.

· Generate and coordinate clients’ requests.

· Close sales, meet sales goals and contribute actively to the Biotrial Sales strategy.

· Visit new prospects and new customers to sell and provide support for Biotrial’s services.

· Develop strong, long-term relationships with customers and develop an in- depth knowledge of their organization and needs; establish and maintain frequent contact with clients.

· Participate in arranging and hosting prospective client visits at Biotrial’s sites.

· Participate in and organize conferences, trade shows, symposiums, etc.

· Manage sales activities, including sales planning, visits, reports and results.

· Maintain correspondence and information in the CRM database.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

· Motivated to grow the business.

· Can build and manage multiple leads simultaneously, able to prioritize.

· Can influence and motivate internal stakeholders to address client’s feedback on time.

· Must be reliable, highly-motivated, well-organized, results-oriented, and customer- focused; independent and self-starting, pro-actively chase leads and opportunities but also work with the team to bring the best of the company to a customer

· Strong presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills; excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal).

· Previous experience (3+) in business development/sales within a scientific/medical environment.

· Previous experience in CRO.

· Advanced degree in business or scientific area (MBA, MS, PharmD).

· Good understanding of the Drug Development Process or ready to learn quickly.

· Like to work in a multicultural environment (Part of the team located in EU)
