Peter Basso Associates, Inc., a leading Mechanical and Electrical Engineering consulting firm, is in search of a CAD Specialistto join our team in Troy, MI! This professional will be a part of our CAD Support team and will work alongside talented CAD professionals as well as Architectural Engineers.

As a CAD Specialist at PBA, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your CAD skillset as you plot drawings according to company standards, set up jobs for the design team and update the floor plans. In this position, you’ll pick up red marks made by engineers, prepare drawings of existing mechanical and electrical systems, and more. With more than 30 years of tradition, PBA has established company standards and processes that you’ll learn and execute.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who is looking to start a career as a building systems CAD Drafter, with an opportunity to transition into mechanical or electrical design for those who demonstrate ability and take initiative.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, education, or qualifications:

- High School Diploma

- Two or more AutoCAD intermediate level courses or 1-2 years of experience

- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD

- Experience with Navisworks is beneficial

- Excellent computer, communication and organizational skills to assist design team with project set-up and maintenance.

- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines
