Job Description:

Act as a primary cashier and (depending on availability) closer of the store.

Adhere to the Supervisor’s guidance, store guidelines, and policies..

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Customer service (cashiering, processing customers in an accurate, friendly, and efficient manner)
Notifying management of system errors
System input, manipulation of the POS system
Memorization of essential PLU codes
Stocking and rotation of product
Cleaning and light maintenance of facilities
Completion of the closing checklist to or above standard
Serve as a caretaker of the register/front-end area: this duty involves ensuring that management has accurate status on what supplies need to be ordered (receipt tapes, bags, etc…).
The cleanliness and orderliness of the front end is also a responsibility, to include, but not limited to sweeping, cleaning, window washing, apparatus/equipment cleaning
Assist in the general operation of the store when necessary, including vendor affairs, deposit returns, etc…

Compensation:

$17.00 per hour during the training period, 90-day review, with an increase in starting wage up to $19.00 per hour and periodic reviews afterward (starting waged is based on prior experience)

60 HRS P.T.O. (20 hrs vacation, 40 hrs sick) after 1 consecutive year of employment, 100 HRS P.T.O (60 hrs vacation, 40 hrs sick) after 2 consecutive years of employment

Health Insurance (65% paid policy premium, 35% pre-tax payroll deduction) NTE 90-day wait period if elected (currently $214.69 a month per single employee for the total package)

401k Retirement Account with 4% Employer Match after 90 days (if elected)

Colonial Life Accident Supplemental Insurance Policy ($22 paid by the company) after 90 days

*New hire must be employed at Fresh Foods for 6 months before the sign-on bonus is given. Other criteria will be discussed at the time of the interview.
