H.R. Ewell INC is looking for a Class A CDL Driver Trainer to help with our Entry level driver program and Orientation onboarding.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Abides by all Federal, state, and accreditation/compliance rules and regulations
· Conduct instruction and hands-on training related to all aspects of commercial over-the-road truck driving that trainees are required to master before being released into their own tractor-trailer unit
Requirements
Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement required **tanker experience is a plus but not required**
Minimum 4 years heavy tractor trailer or OTR experience required
Clean driving history with no at fault accidents

Assisting with orientation instructing: This includes covering specific assigned sections of the Orientation schedule. Road tests, equipment and truck introduction, proper completion of BOLs & trip sheets, Food Safety presentations & quizzes, general operational instruction and both dry and liquid tanker introduction are just a few of the subjects that will be part of this role’s primary duties.
Driver Training/on Boarding: This includes training new drivers or re-training current drivers to meet our exceptions. Assisting with setting up and coordinating Driver Trainers to new hires as well as daily follow ups to new hires/driver trainer to document progress and problem areas is a must. Detailed documentation of new hire progress is required. Observation and assessment of new drivers in training is required.
Compliance Management & Office Support: This includes answering phone calls regarding log issues with PeopleNet/Hours of Service needs, managing and documenting various telematic channels (videos, speed and fatigue monitoring, DVIRs, and motorist complaints.
