The operator will safely and efficiently drive a hydro excavator to different locations and assist customers with potholing, daylighting, trenching slots, removing debris, exposing utilities and repairing pipes in a timely and professional manner.

What you need to succeed:

• Valid commercial driver's license class B with a tanker endorsement and a clean driving record
• Must pass background checks and pre-employment drug screen as required by law
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers
• Ability to handle prolonged periods of sitting in a cab
• Ability to remain focused in busy environments
• Must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) according to DOT regulations
• Utilize assigned route while obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Maintain signed invoices, bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to dispatch when work orders are complete
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and reports maintenance malfunctions to the fleet manager and dispatch
• Assist field staff and operators in a variety of duties
• Assist with maintenance and operate various pieces of equipment in the field and at our shop
• Performs other related duties as assigned
