ProNet Group, Inc. is a Texas based, forensic engineering consulting firm that was established in 1990. We are an industry leader in conducting technical investigations determining the root cause of accidents and failures for the insurance and legal industries.

We are looking to hire a Structural/Civil Forensic Project Engineer, having a P.E. license (must have), and construction background to conduct forensic investigations of commercial, institutional, high-rise and residential buildings. This is position that will work a hybrid schedule that includes working from home and our field locations.

Typical engineering assignments include determining the cause of structural failures, construction defects, water/moisture intrusion, roof damages, structural collapses, foundation/settlement, and more.

Additional projects include storm damage assessments, post-fire damage and structural integrity evaluations, and providing professional opinions and expert witness testimony.

Essential Functions:

• Determine the cause and origin of structural failures and construction defects.
• Conduct field inspections to document onsite conditions.
• Conduct roof damage evaluations for residential and commercial structures.
• Conduct moisture/water intrusion damage evaluations.
• Prepare and provide oral and written reports, timely.
• May be called upon for expert witness testimony.
• 50/50 field work and office duties.
• Hybrid working acceptable.

Qualifications:

• BSCE from an accredited school, required
• 10+ years of professional experience having 5+ years of forensics, preferred
• P.E. license in state applying (ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT), REQUIRED
• Having additional P.E. licenses in additional state's, highly preferred
• NCEES, preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, required
• Strong understanding of building materials, residential and commercial construction, and building codes
• Ability to travel 35% of the time having occasional overnight stays, required.
