OSI is seeking qualified Cloud Engineer to work on contract in support of the Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Support Services contract.

Job Summary: You'll help design, maintain, and enhance the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) initiative infrastructure and architecture, encompassing all phases from development to operational deployment. You must possess the skills and experience to design, implement, and manage our various platforms to enable highly efficient and productive software development processes and workflows through automation and complex problem solving.

Duties include:

• Design and implement cloud solutions for deploying infrastructure, code, and database changes to our software environments via commonly available tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Sonaqube, Fortify)
• Collaborate with the ADL Engineering team to design, develop, test, and deploy software releases and new infrastructure components.
• Research and architect Cloud solutions using the latest tools, technologies, and services provided to replace existing legacy IT systems.
• Research and architect AWS solutions using the latest services provided to replace existing legacy systems while maintaining our existing AWS infrastructure.
• Design deployments of new and existing infrastructures for AWS, Azure
• Cloud Migration projects – assessments and migration
• Researching, designing, and implementing reference architectures and components based on the technologies ADL initiative uses
• Providing ADL and external delivery team members with expertise, guidance on Cloud platforms Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities to achieve project objectives; technically guide projects through to completion.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and find practical solutions that move projects forward in a timely manner
• Constantly learning and improving solutions for end users
• Establish and ensure infrastructure standards (security, reliability, availability, and scalability) and procedures are met by Delivery teams
• Optimize existing and legacy resources to reduce costs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field. In lieu of degree, 4 years of professional enterprise development, operations, platform, and/or infrastructure experience.
• Experienced with core AWS services
• Highly motivated, driven & hard working
• High attention to detail and initiative
• Good understanding of networks, including routing, DNS, and sub-nets
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with sufficient level of technical capability to effectively communicate with engineers, scope technical programs, and identify technical risks
• Demonstrated track record of delivering complex projects and programs with cross-functional teams.
• Strong computer skills and a passion for solving complex problems
• Able to obtain Secret Clearance required
• You must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19

Desired Qualifications:

• Programming knowledge in any language is highly desired
• Master’s degree is preferred
• Design experience in an enterprise environment
• Experience in a system engineer/DevSecOps role
• Azure: 1 year (Preferred)
• AWS: 1 year (Preferred)
• Familiarity with tech stack details (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, SD Elements, etc.)

Education/Experience Requirements:

· BS/BA degree in an associated discipline with five years’ experience, or eight years of experience, or MS with two years’ experience.

· Experience as task leader or proposal manager. Capable of innovative problem solving.

· Practice excellent communication, organization, and time management skills; must be reliable, efficient, and flexible.

· Communicate effectively and professionally with all customers (soldiers and civilian).

· Be committed to work as a team member for the benefit of the customer.

· Be able to understand instructions furnished in written and verbal form.

· Be able to read and interpret documents and manuals (Army regulations and guidance, Federal and State regulations, etc.).

· Performs other duties as required to support the customer and contractual requirements.

Physical Demands:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift heavy objects and moving of equipment from one building to another to include climbing stairs
