Discerning homeowners and savvy business owners have installed AmCoat’s superior coatings solutions for more than two decades. As our Commercial Business Development Representative, you will drive the continued success of the Company and maintain our tradition of high client satisfaction.

This highly visible and consultative sales position will utilize your one-to-one relationship building skills and business experience to create deep relationships with potential new dealerships. These relationships are the backbone of AmCoat’s success, and your success allows you to affect the bottom line directly.

The Commercial Business Development Representative will facilitate the strategy, approach and relationship plans for prospective commercial customers to generate awareness and ultimately achieve sales & revenue goals.

Essential Duties:

  • With direction from Vice President of Sales & CEO, supports the deployment, adoption and application of AmCoat’s Annual Business Plan
  • Achieve or exceed sales budget.
  • Maintain expenses at or below budget
  • Develop strategic market plan for key account customers, target customers, and high potential customers establishing goals and targets.
  • Achieve defined sales goals, metrics, and objectives.
  • Use a strategic and consultative sales approach to understand, develop, and deliver valuable business solutions for one or more the following defined segments:
  • Commercial Paint/General Contractor
  • Architects & Engineers
  • HOA/ Multi-family Contractor
  • Envelope Consultants
  • Complete productive daily call plans that fulfill and generate sales on existing accounts and qualified leads. Log quality information from the completed activities into (CRM) Salesforce.
  • Build brand awareness through marketing and training and other efforts.
  • Proficient knowledge of our products, techniques, and services to ensure product recommendations and customer orders meet all specifications.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems/complaints.
  • Some overnight weekly travel may be required depending on geographic territory.
  • Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Ability to follow oral or written instructions; read and acknowledge completion or work orders, interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field OR equivalent experience in related field.
  • Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED)
  • Previous sales, retail, or customer service experience with previous commercial coatings’ experience is desirable.
  • Requires excellent prospecting and negotiation expertise
  • One-to-one relationship building and influencing skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management proficiency
  • History of generating revenues and profits that meet or exceed monthly sales quotas

Educational and Technical Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years business or related work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of consulting or B2B sales experience
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree preferred
  • Paint and/or Coatings Sales Experience preferred

Computer Skills

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to master software applications related to job functions.
  • CRM knowledge preferred.

Compensation Schedule:

  • Base pay range $50,000 to $60,000 with target compensation $100,000+ at plan.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
