What you’ll do:

As a Compounding Pharmacist at Taylors, you will be joining a team of highly accomplished and experienced pharmacists. You will be responsible for learning our pharmacy processes from start-to-finish, including taking scripts and talking to doctors & veterinarians, advising patients, checking scripts for accuracy, overseeing compounding production, instructing pharmacy technicians in compounding protocol, researching new formulas, and keeping up to date with the latest regulations. You are detail-oriented but have an eye for the big picture – you always see areas for improvement and can make it happen. Summary of Duties & Responsibilities

· Answer calls from both human & veterinary patients about medication questions and concerns with empathy; going above and beyond for each customer

· Build relationships with veterinary and doctors’ offices, offering consulting on difficult cases and a variety of customized treatment options

· Identify new product needs and make suggestions to the veterinary sales and compounding pharmacist teams

· Understand the compounding workflow, key processes, technologies, and pharmacist checkpoints

· Answer questions from the technicians about prescriptions, customers, and processes

· Follow all aspects of non-sterile compounding activities including, such as verifying patient-specific prescriptions meet unique requirements, validating new formulations, updating existing formulations, checking batch records and compounded products for accuracy and quality

· Directly supervises the activities of compounding technicians to assure accurate compounding and dispensing of medications, reports issues immediately to the PIC

· Check to make sure all compounds are accurately weighed, measured, and mixed ingredients during the compounding process per master formulation instructions and standard operating procedures

· Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations

Required Skills:

· Ability to learn fast and work in a fast-paced environment

· Strong working knowledge or willingness to learn hormone replacement therapy, veterinary compounding, sterile compounding, and other compounding specialities

· Critical thinking & decision making

· Highly detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy

Education & Experience:

· PharmD (required)

· Must be able to be on-site at pharmacy at 1021 W Fairbanks Ave (required)

· Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Florida (required)

· Minimum 1 years of pharmacy experience (preferred)

· Minimum 1 year of compounding experience (preferred)

· Understanding of PrimeRx, Rx30 or Compound Assist (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

Typical and expected office related activities, must be able to lift 20lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
