A full-service general contractor performing general contracting and construction management is looking for an Interim Construction Office Manager in Van Nuys, CA. The Company seeks an exceptional individual with a background in construction and public works, and with the motivation and drive to participate in helping take the company to the next level. In this key position, you will work closely with the company principal to deliver prompt and qualitative administrative support as well as seamlessly complete day-to-day clerical tasks. As the Interim Construction Office Manager, you will manage office administration, facilities management, and employee support

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with accounting on accounts receivable
  • Overall office compliance, Day to day admin, office maintenance
  • Handling the company`s contracts
  • Handle Labour compliance, Union compliance, Insurance, and subcontracts
  • Handling the renewals of the business licenses
  • Handling profit-sharing administration hand in hand with the accounting team
  • Provide support for Project
  • Acting as the funnel from the field to the office
  • Insurance audits, and project audits hand in hand with the accounting team
  • Effectively handles union issues, grievances, requests for dispatch
  • Work closely between insurance and accounting for filing, health insurance, Workers’ comp claims, audit, and intermediary
  • Work with HR and take care of performance evaluations
  • Help with bid docs reviews - on the contract administration side
  • Manage purchasing/procurement employee

Qualifications:
  • Understanding of contracts is required
  • 3+ years of experience within public works construction in an administrative role
  • 2+ years of Management experience in a team of 3 or more
  • Some HR exposure
  • Degree preferred
