Responsibilities:
Serve as contractor special security officer in the management of classified government contract programs. Provides oversight of the day-to-day operations of a customer facility. Implements and manages the overall security program. Interfaces with multiple government agencies (i.e. DOD and IC) responding in a timely manner based on urgency. Establishes and maintains successful working relationships with government agencies and internal customers. Implements, and maintains compliance of security plans and procedures in accordance with the NISPOM, ICDs, JAFAN, NSA COMSEC, etc. Briefs executive management on security matters. Ensures security contract deliverable requirements lists (CDRL) are submitted in a timely fashion and draft/track DD Form 254. Maintains awareness of new/changing laws/regulations; continually reviewing and monitoring status of security policies, procedures, and programs for compliance and the organization’s needs. Enforces standards for a secure environment for the protections of personnel, property and information. Develops, implements, and provides security awareness training for personnel. Responds to after hour alarms or emergencies. Maintains, operates, manages, and disposes of classified information systems in accordance with security policies and procedures. Background in Information Assurance and Counterintelligence and ability to administer and implement applicable programs. Strong background in the Certification & Accreditation (C&A) process of Information Systems (IS) and ability to write, review, and coordinate System Security Plans (SSP), Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC), and Co-Use agreements. Maintain accreditation for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Special Access Program Facility (SAPF). Working knowledge of Scattered Castles (SC), JPAS, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, etc. Ability to obtain a security clearance equal to or greater than that of the facility clearance. May require TS/SCI security clearance.

Assists the Special Security Officer (SSO) to ensure control of access to SCI and SCI facilities (SCIFs); certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances / accesses; conducts SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, training on classified material / SSO-related material and topics; obtains signed nondisclosure agreements; and provides guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, Government and contractor personnel. Other duties may include, but not limited to: audits of classified material; inspections of classified material storage facilities / SCIFs / containers; and, researching and preparing classified material-related policy and management recommendations, reports and recommendations. Salary Range: Salary Minimum: $57,500 Salary Mid: $115,000 Salary Maximum: $143,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
