Reporting to the CFO of SWM International, the Controller will perform a variety of core accounting activities for a multi-location entity, including but not limited to, managing all general accounting duties including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, preparation and recording of general ledger journal entries, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.

Accounting Position Duties

• Perform accounting processes, monthly closings, and reporting related to journal entries and account activity/analysis while executing control procedures.
• Daily maintenance of general ledger accounts in systems ensuring completeness of all data entry and correct classification of revenues and expenses.
• Assist with various aspects of inventory management, including physical inventories, inventory pricing reviews, analysis, etc.
• Review bill of materials, and work to ensure/improve accuracy.
• Maintain fixed asset database and tracking of construction in process, and periodic fixed assets inventories.
• Participate in new MRP implementation
• Participate in preparing external, internal and corporate financial reporting, meeting all deadlines monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Participate in Insurance and Property Tax renewals
• Assists with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Participate in various audits
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or related discipline required
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Detail oriented, analytical thinker, team player
• Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
• Ability to travel less than 25%
• Requires the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
• Accounting experience of 4 - 10 years
