What the Controller will do:

• Prepares journal entries, as needed, to accurately report Gross Margin, Manufacturing Variances and Period Expense in Cost of Sales, Inventory Valuation, Inventory Reserves and Operations Spending.
• Senior Cost Accountant / Cost Analysis
• Responsible for full range of accounting functions working within GAAP, local laws and ethical standards to include financial reporting, bank reconciliations, cost analysis, risk and compliance management.
• Develop and monitors timely and accurate processing of all inventory transactions, coordinates Annual Physical Inventory and establishes Cycle Count Programs, as needed.
• Leads and supports the accounting team, coordinating external auditors, foreign currency exchange, data security, employee compensation and benefits, metrics development, and coordinating with operations management.
• Participates in system development/upgrades including ERP, Cost Accounting, Labor Reporting, Payroll and Other Financial Systems to ensure integration with Operations/Cost Accounting requirements.
• Acts as primary contact with external/foreign auditors and accounting regarding inventory close, manufacturing spending and standard cost issues. Provides support for quarter end and year end reports.
• Identifies and communicates opportunities for cost reduction, yield improvement, operational efficiency, and business process improvements to support financial results and company goals.

What the Controller will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or finance required.
• High level knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices, including cost accounting and reporting, risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting experience supporting manufacturing operations is required.
• Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office, with expertise using MS Excel
• Analytical mind with aptitude in math
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A problem-solver with attention to detail
• Organizational and leadership skills
• CMA a PLUS!
• "Ability to travel internationally (Current US passport or the ability to obtain one upon hire is required)"
