Description: The Cost Accountant will be responsible for monitoring the organizations’ costs and creating reports for budgetary, pricing and analysis purposes. Position Key Accountabilities:

•Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and records

•Update and maintain standard costs for all new build trailers and options offered.

•Work with Sales team to create pricing that supports minimum contribution margin requirements on all new build trailers.

•Analyze monthly overhead and SG&A expenditures and provide budget variance analysis.

•Determine Fixed Costs vs. Variable costs and assign to products accordingly for profit margin analysis.

•Prepare and analyze completed jobs for comparison against planned contribution margins.

•Recommend changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit.

•Perform account reconciliations

•Perform other related duties, as required

Required Skills/qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in accounting

•Minimum of 3-5 years of previous accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience

•Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, as well as attention to detail and problem solving skills.

•Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

•Analytical skills with a keen sense of organization and detail

•Ability to meet strict deadlines
