Job Summary:

As we continue to scale one of the fastest growing apparrel brands, we are seeking a person who can manage cost and inventory accounting within the Finance department. Has experience in process cost systems along with knowledge of INFOR M3 or similar ERP systems. Has exceptional Microsoft Excel skills with an aptitude for data manipulation. Candidate should be detailed oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Developing cost standards for materials and labor
• Analyzing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization
• Analyze inventory valuations and variances
• Analyze production costs and recommend changes
• Overseeing annual physical inventory counts and on-going cycle counts
• Run daily and ad-hoc costing within M3, analyze and resolve any errors
• Test and validate cost components of new items
• Produce Margin Analysis Report on a bi-annual basis
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with internal policies
• End of the month: Reconcile inventory sub-ledgers to the general ledger, monitor purchasing and manufacturing cost variances to standards.
• Reports: . Provide month end and key performance indicator reporting to plant management. Develop and maintain Overhead and Standard cost metrics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field required.
• CMA (Certified Management Accountant) Preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• 5+ years experience in cost accounting or a related field
• Highly responsible & reliable and able to manage confidential information
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to be professional and courteous at all times
