What You can expect from Us:

Position Summary:

Wire harness design engineer with focus on commercial vehicle segment for low-voltage as well as high voltage wire harness design

Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Main point of contact between autoelectric manufacturing and customer base for wire harness design.
• Communicates technical information internally and to the customer, with the ability to provide leadership with concise updates and reports.
• Forges and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers (within and outside the organization).
• Develop and maintain accurate design records for production and pre-production release.
• Work directly with cross functional teams to achieve production readiness
• Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
• Maintains high level expertise in their field or sector.
• Travel to customer locations and manufacturing plants as required within North America.
• Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.

Education and Experience:

• Four Year Bachelor’s Degree Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of Experience in wire harness design preferred.
• Gas or diesel engine wiring knowledge a plus.
• Experience in 2D drawing such as, but not limited to, LDorado and CAPITAL software a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP, data management systems as well as understanding of quality standards (IATAF) a plus.
• Self-motivated, highly structured and organized individual with attention to detail.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Foreign language skills a plus (Spanish / German).
