Overview:
Reports To: VP, Enterprise Architecture
Primary Functions: Drive business transformation through the creation of enterprise architectures, programs, and policies that align current and future technology decisions with company strategy. Develop enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps, and standards that promote informed, effective, and impactful business and technology investment decisions.
The scope of activities includes helping the organization achieve targeted business outcomes related to grow revenue, optimizing costs and mitigating risks. Focus on building relationships with business and IM stakeholders, communicating the value of Enterprise Architecture and the services it offers, and shaping and guiding the delivery of EA’s services.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Maturing of the enterprise architecture practice into an internal management consultancy.

Developing of the EA service portfolio, ensuring they are aligned to the needs of the organization and EA’s key stakeholders.

Helping the organization find the right balance between risk and agility. Communicating key EA positions to business and IT leaders to get buy-in and mandate.

Leading the development of an implementation roadmap for the enterprise architecture.

Scanning emerging technologies and the business ecosystem for major disruptive technology and non-technology trends that affect business. Providing practical advice and best practices to take advantage of new, or emerging, opportunities.

Leads a collaborative federation of architects to ensure that proposed architectures and solutions align with target architectures and roadmaps.

Developing and applying standards and minimal viable architectures through the EA governance model, which is informed by the business strategy and corporate governance. Clarifies accountability and provides the focal point for agile, effective, and efficient decision making.

Building and maintaining relationships with organizational stakeholders.

Providing actionable recommendations using a structured approach to decision analysis that includes technical, risk, financial, and execution capabilities.

Leading and facilitating discussions about the risks and implications of decisions across the enterprise.

Demonstrating leadership qualities, self-motivation, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment while navigating the political landscape.

Facilitating difficult conversations, having a holistic and empathetic mindset, bringing concepts to life through presentations, showcasing excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Developing to-be architectures. Developing transition architecture to guide migration between as-is and to-be architectures.

Developing architectural and technical standards.

Creating roadmaps and strategies for long-term planning while advising on potential disruptive technologies and trends.

Serving as a visionary in the field of the enterprise architecture discipline.

Collect and maintain statistical measurements, dashboards, and propose corrective actions to guide continuous improvement methodologies.
- Present recommendations and findings to executive management.
- Maintain current professional and technical knowledge pertaining to industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience preferred.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Ten or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.
Experience/Skills: Demonstrated experience across multiple domains including cloud, networking, application development, or automation Ten or more years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis. Ten or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment. Strong leadership skills with exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. Strong consulting skills such as targeted communications, engagement management, stakeholder management and business development. Organizationally savvy, with situational and contextual intelligence of the political climate of the enterprise and how to navigate obstacles and politics. Knowledge of all components of enterprise architecture, business and IT principles and processes. Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences. Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus. Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.

Compensation:
Digital Architect (Category 05)
Salary Pay Range: $100,000 - $165,000 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
