The Director of 5G Business Internet Product Development is a strategist, customer evangelist, respected leader of execution, and professional relationship builder who is passionate about driving innovative and transformational business internet solutions. Reporting to the VP of Advanced Wireless Solutions, in this role, you will be ultimately accountable, responsible, and have ownership of T-Mobile's fixed wireless access and connected computing products and services to offer innovative solutions and engage senior leadership across the entirety of industries in T-Mobile’s customer base.

As Director of Business Internet, you will develop a team that conducts market research; generates product requirements; determine specifications; defines the long-term strategy of the product; creates the product road map; helps drive and support technical delivery end to end; define the scope for releases/product increments; partnering with T-Mobile’s Marketing, Sales and Technology teams as well as external partners.

You will also be T-Mobile for Business’s champion and leader for Business Internet where you will build and maintain strong high-level relationships with our current and potential customers. You will drive senior executive relationships through your extensive knowledge and industry solutions. This includes determining the most effective go-to-market and partnership collaboration strategies.

You will work closely with T-Mobile and its partners to facilitate high-level meetings between executives and key stakeholders to promote and advocate for Business Internet business objectives. In addition, you will help deliver customer trials and solutions, working to investigate, collaborate, deploy, and support on-site customer Business Internet use cases, documenting and demonstrating to our customers their return on investment and a realization of the value of T-Mobile’s Business Internet solution portfolio.

Our ideal candidate will have a breadth of industry knowledge and experience including technical/consultative-selling, transformation, and problem-solving skills.

This person will demonstrate exceptional collaboration, communication, strategic, analytical, program development/execution as well as a proven track record of success in function.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification, pursuit, and business development of fixed wireless access and connected compute solutions, partners and prospects to support T-Mobile’s product ecosystem.

  • Drive GTM and solution motions to industry-leading enterprises across business verticals (industrial, retail, entertainment, venue, transportation, etc.).

  • Work with leadership and cross-functional peers to formulate and execute against go-to-market strategies.

  • Build, mentor and lead a team of Product Managers to deliver solutions that meet the business goals of the organization.

  • Assess and develop new connectivity and compute products and services tied to new &/or under-penetrated verticals of focus.

  • Build and nurture C-level relationships across key targets to further solidify position and commitment to new prospects and/or partner relationships.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales-Operations, Sales, Product Management and Engineering to make accurate, informed decisions.

  • Understand T-Mobile’s broader corporate strategies to facilitate prioritization of business development initiatives aligned to product roadmap priorities.

  • Provide executive program oversight and ongoing partner communication.

  • Work within a driven and highly motivated team to provide a world-class partner experience to T-Mobile’s enterprise and government customers.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the organization to identify and drive critical business opportunities.

  • Manage and evolve a roadmap of partnership technical activities based on a strong understanding of Business Internet product managers and customer needs.

  • Ensure proper collaboration with internal organizations for execution.

  • Stay current with leading technology businesses and initiatives.

  • Manage all aspects of technical integration of partnerships ensuring value is created for both parties.

Work Experience:

  • 10 plus years of work experience plus 5 years or more of technology product management and/or solution sales experience preferably in telecommunications or related SaaS/High Tech industry

  • Understanding and insights into new services and features that can be enabled in next generation fixed wireless technology and/or Enterprise connectivity solutions in wireless or wireline

  • In-depth subject matter expertise in several core wireless technology-related product areas including wireless RAN technologies (LTE, 5G), mid-band 2.5 GHz Spectrum, cellular chipsets, cellular devices, IP networking, and IP security

  • Well versed in service-based technology trends, ideally involving licensed and/or un-licensed radio spectrum

  • Track record in transforming one-time-sale business to recurring service-based business model

  • Consistent track record of leading large, distributed teams delivering production-quality solutions on a tight schedule

  • Significant experience in engaging and facilitating dialogue with C-level and senior executives at Fortune 1000 businesses

  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) that are leveraged to address complex business issues, negotiations, and opportunities

  • Experience-based Issue Resolution skills that facilitate dialogue across all levels of a business including the C-suite

  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and projects to meet timelines efficiently, to adapt to changes in priorities quickly, and to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with a focus on a drive to completion and tangible impact

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Masters Preferred

  • Ability to travel as necessary

WA/NY/CA/CO Pay Range: $168,300 - $227,700

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
