Alaska Tales Whale Watching is looking for a Director of Finance to join the team year round in Juneau Alaska.

Requirements:

• Finance Degree
• 3-5 Tourism Industry Experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill

Primary Responsibilities:

Financial

• Facilitating company payroll
• Invoicing vendors.
• Accounts receivable/payable
• Locating missing vouchers
• Entering daily sales into fare harbor.
• Coding credit card transactions with Accounting
• Paying Alaska Tales bills/invoices related to operations
• Coordinating/paying sales tax

Staffing/Employee

• Facilitating hiring paper work for all staff including, but not limited to W-4, I9, applications, contracts, and related documents.
• HR duties related to staff including incident reporting
• Assisting employees securing housing. This would include looking for possible

rentals, property inspections, ensuring timely payment of rent, payment and collection of deposits, and other related duties.

• Assigning and checking in/out uniforms for all employees.
• Planning, coordinating, and Interviewing possible staff
• Posting job ads for hiringSecondary Responsibilities:
• Filing/Organizing
• Party Planning
• Checking mail at PO BOX/mailing company payments/documents

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
