An established premier manufacturer of consumer equipment is searching for an outstanding finance and accounting leader to join their executive leadership team at their Southern Indiana facility (metro Louisville, KY). This is an excellent opportunity to lead the overall financial strategies, plans, policies, & accounting practices at a local midsized family-owned company. This hands-on Director will report to the President/Owner and work strategically with the leadership team on operations and industry opportunities. Job Requirements:

Highlighted Duties:

  • Work closely with management team on the company’s financial big picture (goals, forecasting, budgets)
  • Mentor and manage Senior Accountant and daily accounting staff—lead month end close process
  • Improve efficiencies and controls, review, recommend and implement revisions to accounting processes/procedures
  • Manage cash flow and forecast models
  • Responsible for financial analysis, statements and reporting
  • Handle all tax reporting
  • GAAP compliance (federal, state, industry requirements and required reporting)
  • Assist with development of company’s annual budget
  • Manage capital equipment procurement process
  • Coordinate with CPA firm and banks on behalf of company
  • Manage commercial insurance programs with outside Broker
  • Provide outstanding customer service and communication with management team and employees
  • Work within company’s ERP system

Highlighted Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar, CPA or CMA required
  • Recent hands-on finance/accounting leadership role in the manufacturing industry required
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience at a med-sized company
  • Experience overseeing daily accounting and mentoring/developing team
  • Strong cost accounting skills required
  • Passion for continuous improvement; experience streamlining policies and procedures
  • Strong background in financial reporting and understanding of GAAP
  • Excellence verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills needed to effectively convey information to others
  • Proficiency with ERP, accounting software and Excel
  • Ability to successfully work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
