JOB DESCRIPTION

dB Systems is in need of an Electrical Engineer for immediate hire. Our ideal candidate is highly organized and motivated with 1-3 years of experience in embedded programming to assist in developing and certifying code for land-based aircraft navigation antennas. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, a passion for technology, strong mechanical aptitude, and a solid background in multiple programming languages including C, Java, HTML, and VHDL. They should be able to adapt to changing demands and be flexible in their daily tasks. Teleworking is not available for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and certify code for land-based aircraft navigation antennas
• Prepare and maintain programming and verification/validation documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure code meets customer requirements and deadlines
• Debug and troubleshoot code and hardware issues
• Read schematics and assist in debugging hardware
• Communicate with customers to ensure their requirements and deadlines are met
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technology advancements
• Use version control systems to manage code changes
• Be flexible in daily tasks and adapt to changing demands

Requirements:

• Technical writing experience strongly desired- Complete detailed and accurate as-built, testing, and quality control documentation
• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in embedded programming
• We will provide on the job training, but a degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of C, Java, HTML, and VHDL programming languages
• Familiarity with microcontroller systems and embedded systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience reading schematics and debugging hardware
• Strong organizational skills with good verbal and written communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems
• Experience using version control systems
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and be subject to random drug screenings
• Must be able to work full-time with an average of 40 hours per week

• Must be highly self-motivated, work with minimal supervision able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

After 1 year:

· Fifteen days of paid time off (PTO) – PTO increases with time with company

· 401(k) with up to 4% company match (must work 1,000 hours in the calendar year after the 1-year anniversary to be eligible)

· Discretionary Holiday Bonus (if the company is profitable, we share a portion of those profits with the employees based on Key Performance Metrics)

After 4 years:

· 4 week paid sabbatical (one paid sabbatical per every four years with company)
