Job Summary

The position of Engineer utilizes in-house software to assist in the planning, directing, and coordination of manufacturing processes with the goal of utilization of facilities equipment, materials, and technical resources to improve efficiency of operations. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards in an ISO 9001 environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create bill of material, detailed instructions for manufacturing process, and work instructions for manufacturing of customer’s products using ERP software.
• Interprets and analyzes customer drawings to determine best production methods and practices. Creates in-house manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
• Utilizes in-house programming software for the creation of necessary supporting CNC programs
• Performs work which involves conventional methods or equipment with relatively complex features.
• Receives instructions on assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
• Assists in the coordination of pricing, estimating, scoping strategies for proposed projects and in the development and preparation of technical specifications.
• Learn product requirements and ensure that they are met; solve production problems that arise within the organization.
• Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
• Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
• Providing engineering support in production department to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.
• Perform other assigned duties as deemed necessary by their supervisor.

Education and Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing from an accredited college preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
