Coastal Engineering is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) with a staff of professional engineers and certified commercial divers, providing marine engineering, repair, and underwater inspection services. We are seeking an Engineer to join our team of Engineer Divers in Greenwood Lake, NY. This is a great opportunity to join our Engineer Diver Program and excel your career in the exciting world of diving / engineering. Graduate engineers and those working towards their EITs will be considered.

Job Duties:

· Perform underwater inspections & structural assessments of bridges, dams, and other marine/waterfront structures.

· Prepare inspection reports.

· Offer instruction/assistance to technicians in preparing reports.

· Use of CAD to prepare drawings and repair designs.

· Communicate with Project Managers, some communication with clients/stakeholders.

· Ensure understanding of routine and emergency procedures.

Required Skills / Certifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.

· EIT or ability to obtain one in 12 months.

· Highly motivated and able to work independently and with a team.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient with AutoCAD.

· Attention to detail.

· MS Outlook, Word, Excel.

· 0-4 years of experience.

· Boat License a plus.

· Scuba diving experience a plus.

· NHI 2-Week Bridge Inspection Course a plus.

· Confined space certification a plus.

· Structural inspection experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
