Overview:
MxV Rail’s Communications & Train Control (C&TC) team assists the railroad industry in designing, defining, modeling, testing, and evaluating C&TC technologies. We seek a talented and highly motivated engineer to support current and next-generation train control technology and railway operations research. The successful candidate will support the research of Positive Train Control (PTC) systems, railroad wireless communications, radio technology performance, railroad safety systems, automation technology, lifecycle management, and/or other C&TC areas of activity.
Primary Duties:
The Entry-Level Systems Engineer is responsible for providing professional engineering and scientific services to internal and external customers as directed by the Resource Manager. This role involves using engineering principles, data analysis, systems engineering, programming languages, database management/querying, communication systems, and Positive Train Control (PTC). The successful candidate is expected to participate in all phases of projects by assisting in proposal preparation, requirements development, modeling, implementation, test planning, test execution, data analysis, presentations, and report writing.
