Job Title: Equipment Service Technician

Duties:

40% Repair work which involves hands on servicing of all equipment sold by Neverest Equipment Company. Repair work includes damaged product, defective product, and warranty claims. Repair work will typically occur at Neverest, but travel may be required at times. Requires the below skill set:

• Ability to work with time and budget constraints
• Able to manage time effectively
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical systems 12v and 120v, experience servicing CAN bus controlled equipment. Must have strong troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems on their own and/or ask for help when in doubt
• Ability to gather data, create, compose and edit written material and reports to maintain and give to upper management
• Ensure that all work that is performed properly, efficiently and in a cost-effective manner
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent strong communication skills and interpersonal skills

20% Paperwork which includes billing (tracking labor hours, shipping costs, travel time, and/or other cost that are incurred during a repair), warranty claims (following all requirements of vendor’s warranty procedures to received full reimbursement of parts, service and shipping cost), estimating repair cost, strong understanding of inventory tracking, and inventory requisitioning.

• Ability to utilize a computer, printer, copier, telephone and calculator

· Ability to use Microsoft outlook, CRM software and/or Service Tech software.

• Excellent ability to learn new software and internal controls as requested by management

10% Technician will provide customer service, phone call consultations with customers, outside sales representatives and internal management of Neverest. Must encourage the most appropriate repair actions that will provide the best results for the customer as well as for Neverest (avoid Band-Aid repairs; convey the value and importance of correctly repairing equipment). Clearly convey to the customer total costs of repair including, parts, labor, shipping, shop supplies and travel time. Encourage regular maintenance plans for equipment.

30% Projects as assigned including:

· Field service, travel to customers for repair/diagnostic/maintenance purposes

· Layout, installation, and testing of special projects

· New equipment PDI, check in, and upfit if needed

· Driving and delivery of equipment sometimes new or used (CDL license training will be provided)

Skills and Competencies

Skills must include strong electronic repair skills, (soldering, circuit testing, bench testing, and troubleshooting). This includes strong mechanical repair skills (knowledge of hydraulic systems, water pumps, and basic knowledge of engines). Computer proficiency of Windows based programs, use of the internet, email and data entry. Excellent communications skills with an ability to clearly explain problems and repairs. Along with communication are the skills to build strong customer relationships as well as strong co-worker relationships. Must be able to work individually as well as within a team and be flexible to ongoing training, product changes and job duty changes. Prefer technician to have CDL Certification and or willing to obtain one.

Environmental Conditions/Physical Requirements

This position requires a variety of physical conditions, such as moving mechanical parts, and electrical current. Latex gloves are provided to the technician to protect them from residue from the equipment. Must be able to lift 50 + pounds of force occasionally and or 20 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects around facility.

• Must be able to be very organized and always keep shop and office area clean
• Must be able to comply with all safety, health, environmental and quality management system requirements
• Must be able to comply with policies and procedures relevant to the position
• Willingness to work in a start-up environment and adapt to changing needs and priorities
• Must be willing to occasionally work outdoors under a variety of conditions
• Must be willing and able occasionally work long hours to complete projects
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle report
• Troubleshoot problems over the phone. Identify and order parts to ship to clients
• Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required
• Ability to handle stressful situations professionally

Relationships:

Equipment Service Technician will report directly to Neverest Equipment Company’s CEO.

Salary:

$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 based on skills, training and time on the job. Salary will be commensurate with experience so please submit salary requirements. Health insurance is provided 100% by Neverest Equipment.
