Equipment Setup and Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

The person in this position MUST HAVE A PERFECT DRIVING RECORD AND HAVE SOME MECHANICAL KNOWLEDGE OF EQUIPMENT. Responsibililies include pickup and delivery of company and customer turf & agriculture equipment, occational equipment setup, assembly, cleaning. Other duties include daily shop maintenance, cleaning when needed.

(CDL license not required)

• Pickup and Deliver company and customer equipment.
• Pick up parts, small equipment, and run errands as needed.
• Clean machines and components as needed to prepare equipment for repair work, painting or new equipment delivery.
• Perform basic repairs and service on a verity of equipment.
• Setup and assemble new equipment for showroom and display.
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment as directed.
• Operate equipment to and from steam cleaning area.
• Steam cleaning and pressure washing of equipment.
• Participate in safety training activities as directed.
• Keep work areas clean and organized throughout day to ensure safe work environment.
• Complete service reports, condition reports, time cards, and other related paperwork.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment appropriate to task being performed.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading of equipment.
• Operate forklift to load, unload shipments and to move equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must have a prefect driving record with no violations.
• Must have experience hauling equipment with pickup truck and trailer.
• High school education, or the equivalent.
• Equipment operation Experience helpful.
• Previous lift truck certification preferred.
• Ability to attend ongoing training required to keep skills current.
• Ability to safely operate lift trucks and heavy equipment.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English, use repair manuals as needed, and write legibly. Must possess good verbal communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and follow directions of supervisor.
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment.
• Experience conducting routine maintenance of outdoor power & heavy equipment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Ability to lift and push a minimum of 50 lbs. frequently. Employee must be able to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, stand and kneel for an extensive amount of time. Able to work flexible schedule during busy season.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
