Job Description :

North Dallas family law boutique firm focused exclusively on representing women in divorce seeks associate attorney to assist senior attorney with drafting, communicating with clients, handling motions hearings, and mediations. Ideal candidate will be organized, have excellent communication and drafting skills, resourceful, possess a desire to learn with a strong work ethic, think strategically, and able to work from home with minimal supervision.

Our practice focuses more on collaboration and settlement rather than litigation, so if you are looking for regular courtroom engagement, this may not be a good fit. Our approach relies on systems and workflows, so an ability to learn our process and contribute to streamlining workflows is important.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Efficiently draft and customize pleadings, discovery, and final orders

· Assist Senior Attorneys in developing strategies and communicating those strategies to clients

· Supervise and delegate work to paralegals and other team members

· Assist Senior Attorney to prepare for court, mediations, and other matters

· Attend mediations and handle simple court hearings

· Communicate with opposing counsel, court personnel and others in a professional and respectful manner while advocating for our clients

· Deliver excellent customer service

· Deliver high quality work product and achieve key performance indicators

Skills:

· Desire to learn and ability to learn quickly and take on roles of increasing responsibility

· Ability to work well within team but also demonstrate initiative and the ability to self-direct when necessary

· Strong sense of responsibility and ownership over assigned tasks as well as the ability to take on self-directed tasks as necessary

· Ability to work with a predominantly female client base

· Positive attitude, adaptable, and open-minded

· Desire to succeed and help others without

· Must be organized, detail-oriented, critical thinker and excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and MS Office 365, including Outlook, Word and Excel

· Experience in family law preferred

· Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
