Operations Manager - Remote

We are a FedEx Ground Contractor that operates 2 FedEx Linehaul runs across New York. We are currently seeking an experienced Linehaul Operations Manager who will lead the successful execution of these runs along with other related business operations. Previous or Current FedEx Ground Experience is an asset!!

The Linehaul Operations Manager is responsible for leading drivers safely through action and accountability, maintaining positive and professional relationships with drivers and district leaders, and maintaining business needs through proper staffing and conflict management. CDL-A is a must!

Manager Responsibilities:

• CDL-A required
• Reliable, responsible, professionally passionate and honest.
• Build and manage a team of drivers to meet the needs of business.
• Ability to see the strengths of drivers and areas of opportunity.
• Identify and respond to issues that require more coaching, discipline and or termination.
• Monitor driver performance using technology and coaching to ensure safety and productivity.
• Ensure employee’s compliance to policies including uniforms, pre-post trip, DOT compliance, insurance cards, fuel cards, accident packets, etc.
• Experience managing doubles is an asset
• Maintain positive business relationships with FedEx station management and team members.
• Quick and professional responses to all service issues raised by FedEx
• Ability to perform road-tests, security audits, ride-along evaluations and shadow audits in correspondence with the Safety Director.
• Daily monitoring follow-up on all VEDR recordable incidents and accidents according to DOT requirements.
• Enforce all company policies and procedures.
• Possess or obtain good understanding and familiarity of all company routes.
• Ensure the company is in compliance with all guidelines as set forth by FedEx.
• Must be able to communicate openly, honestly and frequently with drivers, FedEx personnel and company ownership.

Linehaul Operations Manager Requirements:

• 2+ years of logistics/transportation management experience preferred.
• FedEx BC or Ops Manager Experience a plus
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Working knowledge of HOS and VEDR equipment preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 per year
