Position Title: Finance Director

Salary: Based on Experience

A Finance Director job in southern Milwaukee County, WI is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. This role requires candidates to have 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably municipal accounting or with a focus on treasury, banking, or investments. In this position, candidates will supervise all finance operations, including eight staff members, and evaluate current fiscal and treasury policies. This position will also maintain internal controls, prepare the yearly budget, review bank statements, oversee debt management, and manage funds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervise financial operations and staff.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure all policies are followed accurately.
• Prepare complex financial analysis reports and provide consultation.
• Manage the investment of funds, maintain records, and prepare reports
• Oversee debt management, bond issuance and credit rating issues.
• Supervise tax collection.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably municipal accounting or treasury focus.
• CPA, CPFO, or similar certification preferred, but not required.
• Strong experience with financial analysis.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
