Job Description :

Avery Products is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must be organized, a good communicator, and able to work with and meet deadlines. This roll includes working with multiple cross functional departments across the business. Microsoft Excel skills are also a critical must have.

This role’s primarily responsibility is support of the marketing R&D team along with the monthly financial tasks. The Marketing R&D team focuses on creating new dynamic products for the market while this role helps them to analyze the financial impact. Along with this the team member will be highly involved with month end close and annual budgeting process.

A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts. Along with this they will also have to be motivated and ready to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Close the books on a monthly basis in a timely manner while providing insight and analysis into the results the company achieved across various business segments
  • Maintain all financial controls and follow corporate policies
  • Complete and participate in the annual budgeting process from start to finish
  • Create/maintain complex excel models while helping to deliver insight to various business segments that help drive decision making
  • Support the marketing R&D team in tracking and understanding their financial results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and bring forth where positive financial opportunities may lie
  • Complete corporate reporting templates
  • Participate in internal and external audit process to ensure all controls are properly maintained
  • Be a thought partner with financial insights to all of the various business segments

Required skills:

  • Excel skills are a must; including functions such as pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs ect.
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts
  • Knowledge of finance/accounting erp systems/software

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and at least one year of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to be self-efficient and organized with set list of tasks with deadline
  • Strong understanding of the disciplines surrounding finance and accounting
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance disciplines such as accruals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Please note that this is a hybrid role that currently requires 2 days/week in office.
