Overview:

UW Credit Union is hiring a Fraud Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a high performing, well tenured team in their efforts to protect members from financial crime.

As the Fraud Operations Manager, you will be accountable for the planning and execution of the fraud & loss prevention operations. You will develop and implement industry leading anti-fraud practices, policies, and procedures, ensure the credit union is appropriately responding to fraud events, and collaborate with your team and other business units to mitigate fraud risk. You will also manage the exchange of information with law enforcement and criminal justice agencies.

Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
  • Lead the fraud team to establish, maintain, and execute compliant practices for managing fraud loss risk and resolving fraud incidents
  • Coordinate with local and federal law enforcement and criminal justice agencies to enable criminal prosecution, deter fraud, and pursue recoveries
  • Manage vendor relationships, including monitoring service levels to ensure contractual commitments are maintained by all vendors
  • Collaborate with key partners to develop and maintain a strategic roadmap and annual business plans
  • Manage the development, enhancement and implementation of fraud detection tools, processes, and procedures that align with strategic goals
  • Develop, validate, and analyze data to support fraud risk assessment and business decision making
  • Collaborate with other business areas to identify and address fraud risks associated with UWCU products and services
  • Support the development of fraud and loss prevention training and education to credit union staff and members
  • Establish and maintain practices for fraud incident response and support to other business areas
Qualifications:
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • 4-5 Years of experience working in a financial institution
  • 2-3 Years of supervisory/management experience
  • Knowledge of relevant law, payment system regulations, and common practices within the financial industry
  • Experience in project management and ability to achieve desired results
  • Demonstrated skills in data analysis and interpretation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing executive level documents and presentations
  • Experience in negotiation and vendor management
