Summary
PM Pediatrics is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to work for our expanding after-hours pediatric urgent care practice. Under the direction of the Office Manager, this position will aid the clinical staff by performing various administrative duties.
Description
  • Greet and register patients as they arrive
  • Answer phones and route calls to the appropriate party
  • Assist parents/children in the reception area
  • Verify eligibility and insurance information
  • Collect credit card/co-pay information
  • Fax/file/scan necessary paperwork
  • Communicate with the clinical staff
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Prior experience as a receptionist in a healthcare environment
  • A professional and friendly demeanor
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as electronic health records (eCW preferred)
Weekend and evening availability required.
